What is a self-paced course?

Most of the courses offered on FUN are in the form of sessions (see this article: “What does a course session mean?"). In addition, other courses are offered in a self-paced format, that is to say "at your own pace". They generally last 1 year.

Registrations

Registration is possible for the entire MOOC duration.

Content

As with the course sessions, the whole content of self-paced courses remains accessible as long as you are enrolled.

Ratings

Several evaluation periods are planned. These are generally announced in the “Course Info/News” tab.

Badges

Since January 2024, badges have been generated automatically once your request is made within the course. Generation typically takes place a few weeks after your request is approved.

Some courses offer a paid certificate option, and may or may not include badges. Please consult the 'Evaluation' section on the course presentation page for more information.

Forum

The teachers cannot be available throughout the course, which is why they have scheduled hours for the forum. You will find the dates in the “Course information/News” tab.
